Hello, darling roses! It is Wednesday once again. A Wednesday I have off, for once! So I made sure to pick an extra-special pick this week, just to celebrate. Waiting on Wednesdays is hosted by the lovely Jill over at Breaking the Spine.

Tumble & Fall
Alexandra Coutts
Publisher: Farrar, Straus and Giroux (BYR)
Release Date: September 17, 2013

A novel about the end of days full of surprising beginnings
The world is living in the shadow of oncoming disaster. An asteroid is set to strike the earth in just one week’s time; catastrophe is unavoidable. The question isn’t how to save the world—the question is, what to do with the time that's left? Against this stark backdrop, three island teens wrestle with intertwining stories of love, friendship and family—all with the ultimate stakes at hand.
Alexandra Coutts's TUMBLE & FALL is a powerful story of courage, love, and hope at the end of the world.

Can we please start with how I want to eat this cover? It's absolutely breathtaking. The positioning of the models, the girl's dress, and lights. I love it. It's absolutely perfect. I would not change it for anything.

Also, you all know I love apocalyptic stories. Particularly when they involve a good romance. So of course I'm wanting to read this one! High stakes always intrigue me, and though I think there might be a happy ending to a point I have a feeling there might be some tragedy too. We'll have to see!

Furthermore, it took me a while to realize but Alexandra Coutts is the married name of Alexandra Bullen, which is the name she used to write Wish and Wishful Thinking. I haven't read either of those books for a while, but I remember that they were cute and yet deeper than one would think. So I'm looking forward to her latest work!

Lovelovelove,

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?

  10. The cover is gorgeous, although if you ate it then you wouldn't be able to stare it or hug it or whatever else us book lovers do to all of the pretty book covers!

I also love the sound of the plot and the summary is really good so I'm going to keep an eye out for this one. Thanks for sharing! :)
