Well hello everyone. It's the last week of the Venom Readalong and I honestly am shocked at how it just flew by. Wow. The last of the questions have been sent out, so after this week there's not much more to go. I'm seriously going to miss this.

All right, so for the last week, as promised, I'll answer a few of the questions myself.

We
re you right about the murderer? If not were you surprised?
I was right! :)

Now that you've met both, what Team are you?
I'm Team Luca. I think he's sweet and I love the way he makes Cass laugh. Plus, he's a bit more dangerous in some ways, and I think he's more mysterious.

Did you trust Falco the whole time?
No. I actually kind of wanted to doubt him because I actually wasn't a huge fan to be honest. I love him, but I don't love him.

Did you find the character of Siena and her habits or fancies cliché overall?
Personally I found the character of Siena very cliché in who she loves. It's just not original at all and I swear to whoever you worship that I am so sick of maids falling in love with that cliché person. Every freaking historical fiction ever I swear. Someone make it stop.

How did you feel about the Michel de Montaigne quote on the top of page 352: "Each man calls barbarism what is not his own practice, for indeed it seems we have no other test of truth and reason than the example and pattern of the opinions and customs of the country in which we live." What does that mean to you?
I love this quote. It's actually one of my favorites. (MdM is brill.) This one always reminds me of how each society considers itself the center of the world.

How did you feel about Cass essentially skipping her best friend's wedding to go look for Falco? Understandable? Unforgivable? How did you feel about her obligating Siena to cover for her?
Honestly, if my best friend skipped my wedding, our friendship would probably be over. I know why she does it, but I don't think that makes it right. Also, making Siena cover for her is wrong. If you're going to do something then you should deal with all of the ramifications.

How did you feel about Luca's reveal of his secret? Would you have been angry at him if you were Cass? Why do you think he felt he couldn't confide in her?
I don't think Luca's motives are entirely excusable but his intentions were good. I lessen the blame on him that I gave Cass in the last question simply because Luca comes across as more mature to me.

I initially wanted a different ending regarding "the boys," but came to realize that Cass's decision is kind of the ultimate girl-power choice. How did you feel about her decision?
I liked it, but at the same time it kind of drags the love triangle out, which I'm not necessarily a fan of. Even so, I do like that Cass takes control.

That was fun! And now it's your turn.

  1. I am still so sad you are on Team Luca. LOL Since we are usually on the same team. He is okay but I dunno. Not feeling him. I didn't guess the murderer. I was totally thinking and hoping it was Luca even though he seemed too obvious and suspicious.

  2. I still find it strange you entered your own giveaway contest.
