My fav thing about winter? Snoooooow!!!

I live in Florida, so winter isn't particularly special. However, it does give me the opportunity to wear thigh-high socks with my shorts, and I am thankful for any opportunity to wear needlessly large socks (I even have a pair that's longer than my legs).

I love being able to break out the hot chocolate and whipped cream with mittens and hand-knit scarves. While I LOVE the snow, I can't say I love the ice that comes with it that somehow ALWAYS finds a way to make me slip up. lol (I also love that this year is my 18th winter! ah! February 16th cannot come fast enough!)

I live in Singapore so there's no winter at all. But if I were to experience winter, my favorite thing would be snow and frozen lakes :) thanks for the giveaway!

Ok, after reading comments.. Favorite thing about winter: snow.. I'm like, wanting to cry, because where I live... WE DON'T GET SNOW. I'm so envious of you guys who have it.
Well, but my favorite thing is cold. Yes, it is. I love when it's cold, I love it even more than when it's hot. :)

Christmas! Also, the smells and the food and my play that I'm in every year.

The excuse to drink as much hot chocolate as possible, and being able to stay inside and read all day because of the snow! :P

I'm not going to lie, my favourite thing about winter is Christmas :) The time off school to spend with family and all the Christmas spirit... I love it! I wish I could send you some of the snow we get. I certainly don't want all of it!

Truthfully I'm not a huge winter kind of girl. The coldness just doesn't suit me. BUT, I do love snow, it's so pretty :)
So I'd have to say that the best part of winter is when it snows

My favorite thing about winter is curling up in a cozy blanket with a book and some cocoa. It's usually hard to maneuver because the blanket doesn't have arm holes and every time I stick my hand out to turn the page, it gets cold!

I like during the break from school, when you can sleep in late, get up and then just sit on the couch wrapped up in a blanket, reading a book. :)

Boots! Here in South Africa it does not get extremely cold so the reprieve from the heat is wonderful also.

My favorite thing about Winter is snow. This year, my 17 month old will get to play in snow (If we ever get some that is) for the first time so I'm really excited about that. My oldest daughter can't wait to build snowmen and make snow angels, and we finally have our own yard to play in! So, we're hoping for some snow really soon!!

My favorite thing about winter is how it transforms everything. People dress differently, and the holiday season seems to cheer everyone up. Snow and ice make everything look and feel different. There is a quiet beauty as you take in everything thats broken only by the soft crunch of your footsteps in the snow. And lastly there's the snow that is like a living veil, swirling in the air around you like magic. I'd love to send you some snow but I think sadly that all you'd recieve is a soggy cardboard box. You should vacation out to some snowy area one day soon instead and revive all those happy memories. Here's hoping you had a great Christmas and best wishes for the New Year.
