Hi! Welcome to my edition of Waiting on Wednesdays!

This week I'm waiting on The Treachery of Beautiful Things by Ruth Frances Long.

A darkly compelling mix of romance, fairy tale, and suspense from a new voice in teen fiction.
The trees swallowed her brother whole, and Jenny was there to see it. Now seventeen, she revisits the woods where Tom was taken, resolving to say good-bye at last. Instead, she's lured into the trees, where she finds strange and dangerous creatures who seem to consider her the threat. Among them is Jack, mercurial and magnetic, with secrets of his own. Determined to find her brother, with or without Jack's help, Jenny struggles to navigate a faerie world where stunning beauty masks some of the most treacherous evils, and she's faced with a choice between salvation or sacrifice--and not just her own.

I mean, first things first.

Check out that freaking cover! It's downright gorgeous. Even if the girl is too skinny and it looks odd.

But it even sounds wonderful. Romantic and adventurous, also known as two things I love!

I'm really excited for this one!

What are you waiting on this Wednesday?

  1. This cover is so stunning! Love it!

  2. Awesome pick!! I had this one a bit back and it was the gorgeous cover that attracted me lol However I didn't notice that she was oddly skinny at the time....
    My Wow this Week

  3. I absolutely love this cover - but still, I can't quite get into the synopsis... Like, I'm sure it will be an interesting book but I'm still deciding if this is going to be the book for me...

Great share, though! It made me think about it again. ;)

  4. I think that the cover is beautiful but a while ago I read a review for this and I honestly can't remember where and after reading the review I decided that this book wasn't for me but maybe after I read your review of the book I will change my mind.

  5. This cover is so pretty!! It sounds like a great book.

  6. I'm so waiting for this book too! :D I'll probably spotlight it sometime. I totally agree with the cover. I love BEE-YOO-TI-FUL stuff like that!
